1. Definitions
- "Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
- "Processing" means any operation performed on personal data, such as collection, storage, use, or deletion.
- "Controller" means the entity that determines the purposes and means of processing personal data — in this case, aktascorp LLC.
- "Service" means the formore website, mobile applications, and any related feature.
2. Data controller
The data controller for formore is aktascorp LLC, a company registered in Belgium, with its registered office at [legal address to be completed] and enterprise number [BCE number to be completed]. aktascorp LLC does not have a formally appointed Data Protection Officer; all requests relating to personal data are handled directly by aktascorp at legal@formore.tv.
3. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use formore, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. It applies to every user of the Service, whether you are a Viewer, a Creator, or both, as defined in our Terms & Conditions.
4. Data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data — your username or display name, your email address, your date of birth, and your location, all provided at registration.
- Authentication data — where you register or sign in via Discord or Steam, the basic profile information made available by that service under the permissions you grant.
- Content data — the films, series, and games you upload as a Creator, along with any associated metadata.
- Usage data — your viewing and gameplay activity on the platform, used to power our internal analytics and recommendations, as described in Section 6.
- Support data — any information you provide when submitting a report through our in-app reporting form or contacting us at legal@formore.tv.
5. How we collect your data
We collect personal data directly from you when you create an account, update your profile, upload Content, or contact us. We also collect data automatically as you use the Service, and, where you choose to sign in via Discord or Steam, from that service at the time of authentication.
6. Usage data and in-house analytics
We analyse how you use formore — including your viewing and gameplay history — using our own, in-house analytics tools, in order to improve the Service and provide you with content recommendations. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel; all analysis of usage data is performed internally, on our own infrastructure.
8. Why we process your data
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to create and manage your account, host your Content, and provide you with the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest — to analyse usage of the platform, improve content recommendations, maintain the security of the Service, and promote formore using excerpts of Content as described in our Terms & Conditions.
- Legal obligation — to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, to process formal takedown notices from Rights Holders, and to keep accounting records related to Creator payouts.
- Consent — where specifically required, for example for certain optional communications.
9. Where your data is stored
formore is hosted entirely on our own servers, located at [server location to be completed]. We do not rely on third-party cloud hosting providers to store your personal data.
10. Third parties we work with
We keep the number of third parties we share data with to a strict minimum:
- Stripe — used solely to process advertising revenue payouts to Creators. If you are a Creator receiving payments, the payment and identity-verification information required for payout is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy policy, available on Stripe's website.
- Discord and Steam — used only if you choose to register or sign in through one of these services, solely to authenticate you and retrieve the basic profile information necessary to create your formore account.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
11. International data transfers
As formore is hosted on our own servers and does not rely on third-party cloud infrastructure, we do not, as a general rule, transfer your personal data outside of [region to be completed]. Where a transfer does occur — for example, through Stripe's own processing of payout data — it is carried out in accordance with the safeguards required under the GDPR.
12. Notifications
Depending on how you access formore, you may receive notifications relevant to your account activity: push notifications on our mobile application, and email notifications when using the web platform. Security-related notices — such as new sign-in alerts or account changes — are always sent by email, regardless of the device or platform you use, to ensure you receive them reliably.
13. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active and as necessary to provide you with the Service. Specifically:
- Account data is retained until you delete your account, or for a limited period afterwards where necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
- Content is removed from the public catalogue upon account deletion, except for excerpts already used in promotional or advertising material prior to deletion, retained under the licence described in our Terms & Conditions;
- Financial and payout-related records associated with Stripe transactions are retained for the period required by Belgian accounting and tax law;
- Reports and takedown notices are retained for as long as necessary to resolve the matter and to demonstrate compliance with our own procedures.
14. Minors
formore is accessible to users aged 13 and above. We rely on the date of birth declared at registration to apply age-appropriate access restrictions to Content that may be violent or otherwise unsuitable for younger audiences. If we become aware that a user under the age of 13 has created an account, we will take reasonable steps to delete that account and the associated personal data.
15. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify any inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erase your data, subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 13;
- Port your data to another service, where technically feasible;
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
To exercise any of these rights, send a request to legal@formore.tv from the email address associated with your account, so that we can verify your identity. We will respond within one month of receiving your request; this period may be extended by a further two months for particularly complex requests, in which case we will inform you of the extension and the reason for it within the initial month.
16. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that our processing of your personal data does not comply with the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, or with the supervisory authority of your own country of residence within the European Union.
17. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures — including access controls and secure storage on our own infrastructure — to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or to applicable law. Where a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you before it takes effect.
19. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by Belgian law. Any dispute relating to it falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, Belgium, without prejudice to your right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority as described in Section 16.
20. Contact
For any question regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, you can reach us at legal@formore.tv.
